AOS Overcomes Adversity in 2022
My mother used to say, "Bad things happen in threes." Boy, was she right!!
Our team started August with yet another run of COVID through our office. Thankfully, all are now recovered and on the mend.
On August 12, Kathleen and Michael's oldest son, Caleb, was hit by a driver who ran a stop sign. He was on his motorcycle, and he was wearing his helmet. Despite this, he was in ICU fighting for his life and spent 32 days in the hospital. He is now doing well, but has a long road to recovery.
Finally, on September 28, Hurricane Ian decided to land a direct hit on our tiny island communities of Matlacha and Pine Island. Three of us live on Island. Cape Coral also suffered heavy damage, meaning all team members were affected. Here is a photo of our amazing little island, destroyed in a four hour time span.

Despite all of this, our team is back in our offices with power, water, and internet due to the self sacrifice of the massive amount of help sent to us by our governor. Thanks especially to the Georgia power crew who restored power to our area.
So many of our clients and vendors have been nothing but spectacular. Wild Energy and Skyweb got our offices back up and running with Starlink. Wild Energy gave us a generator, gas cans, and survival gear. Clients donated, called, and offered assistance. Employees current and past texted, emailed, called and offered whatever we needed.
The good news is, we are BACK, and in a big way. We want to thank everyone for their patience and offers of help. We are already rebuilding our homes and we are #Floridastrong!
